West Elm Love

We all know I am cuckoo for West Elm. My husband and I were in there about 2 weeks ago and I said, "Babe, this is my dream job!" He looked at me puzzled and a bit worried.
But its true I LOVE West Elm.

Here are their newest things that I love and may be making an appearance in the Stocker home soon :)

I was contacted by Style at Home and asked to highlight this seasons trends for fall.
Of course I would!! Plus I got to learn a little something myself.

They have done the research and found the top 3 design trends for Fall 2011.

You will definitely find this trend in my home. I love the different tones and grains that wood offers. It adds so much texture and it really can go in any space and make it look rich and warm.

I have to mention our sofa. Its our favorite thing in the house and the wood really demands your eyes attention.

TREND # 2: "NEW"trals- the new neutrals

Sage, taupe and lilac. Oohhh, very cool colors and never thought of them as neutrals.

Modern global. Well, I don't travel much, but I don't think you have to to have this style injected into your home. Modern global is more about patterns, and we all can add patterns to our home if we don't have them already. Look around your home...you may be surprised how Modern Global you are!

Wish

My wish is that one day my home will be on tour in a magazine or book somewhere. (clicking my ruby red slippers....actually they are just fuzzy...but you get the drift)

Walla....WISH GRANTED!!

I was recently asked to do a home tour of 20-25 photos of our home!! I am so excited...but nervous at the same time!
So, I have so many things to do:

Heres my list:
1- Get the wine rack made
2- paint the rest of the walls (MISSION: get rid of yellow)
3. frames for gallery on office wall
4. rug in master
5. kitchen island
6. chalk board in kitchen area
7. pallet idea (cant wait to share with you what my idea is!)
8. And..last but not least..fresh flowers.

Boy...I have a lot to do.

I am looking to create this amazing wine rack in my dining area.

LOVE this one.

So I am thinking of making one out of the piece of wood we found on the beach in Oregon.
