Infamous Office chair

There are a million of these chairs all around. The infamous office chair. Very comfy, but lacks style. So I took action. I dont have a before, but you know what they look like. Everyday office chairs, this one was vintage though. But a mess. I took it apart and sprayed it black, then covered it with painters drop cloth. It turned out great, especially with my office, and is very comfortable.

Jadyns Room

Its kind of weird, I feel like I have to apologize for not blogging for awhile. I have had so many things go on these past couple weeks I haven't had time to do any projects. One reason I have been busy is my step-daughter just graduated high school and decided to move down here with her dad and I. We are so excited!! Her name is Jadyn and shes a great girl. So since she decided to move down here we have been working on her room, trying to make it feel like home here for her. This was a total team effort. She picked the colors, she had the deep pink in mind plus this great duvet cover from Ikea already picked out, and the rest fell into place. She has the idea of a floating vanity, and I told her it would be great to have it like a box to put her stuff in, and we mimicked the idea with her night stands. Turned out very chic. We still have a couple of things to do, but for the most part it is done, and she LOVES it!

Spring has sprung

Where we live theres not much in between. Theres summer and fall. We dont have crazy winters, and spring is a little too hot to be called spring. I miss spring. When I lived in Utah we had spring. The smell of fresh cut grass on the weekends, the roses in bloom, the trees budding out and the flowers are all amazing in Utah. (Northern, of course). I have been so bummed since we moved to the desert. We dont have grass, we have rocks. My kids dont like it that much.
I was having coffee this morning and looking at these mason jars with these roses, wishing I was somewhere with grass. Dont know why they made me think f it, maybe cause they are so pretty.
To try to cure my blues I painted my walls green, and put flowers everywhere. Hope it helps!
