New kitchen additions...
I have searched high and low, purchased and returned...kitchen islands.
So I finally found one on craigslist...I guess how much?? $60. SCORE! Thanks again craigslist!!
I was so excited, especially since this island is the one I have been wanting but it is $200 at IKEA.
So here it is in our kitchen, and we LOVE it!
Also I wanted to have a little breakfast area our kids could eat their cereal at in the morning or do their homework at after school. So I picked up a table at West Elm with my Design Dollars, and made our little sitting area, a new little breakfast nook.

It really is the PERFECT size, and I love having the butcher block to cut on.
Now I just need to find something to put above it, but what do you think?
Table- Free (design dollars)
Chairs- $80 for the set of 4 at overstock
Turned out pretty cute!

Back from NYC
One of the craziest trips I think I have ever taken. We were constantly doing stuff, and never rested.
My feet almost fell off. I dont think I have ever walked around so much!
My hats off to those women who wear heels around NY.
Heres some pics of our trip:
We did it all! Museums, shopping, toured Brooklyn, Patterson and Walkhill Bethel, saw Phantom of the Opera, ate lots of food, subway, and walked, and walked, and walked!!
It was a great trip, however it made me realize how my simple, slow life back here in Sedona, AZ suits me just fine. Country girl for sure!!

Design Stocked: Third Floor Design Studio
When I first came across Kimberlys blog I knew I had to feature it.
Not only is she super talented, she lives in Utah, my home state!
She has a knack for details. Every room is carefully, but casually done. She has paired classic and eclectic elements together, with pops of color and graphic prints.
Check out her home and make sure to jump over to her blog and become a follower!
Also she is doing a Shabby Apple giveaway so make sure you head over there to check out how to enter!!
