Wish

My wish is that one day my home will be on tour in a magazine or book somewhere. (clicking my ruby red slippers....actually they are just fuzzy...but you get the drift)

Walla....WISH GRANTED!!

I was recently asked to do a home tour of 20-25 photos of our home!! I am so excited...but nervous at the same time!
So, I have so many things to do:

Heres my list:
1- Get the wine rack made
2- paint the rest of the walls (MISSION: get rid of yellow)
3. frames for gallery on office wall
4. rug in master
5. kitchen island
6. chalk board in kitchen area
7. pallet idea (cant wait to share with you what my idea is!)
8. And..last but not least..fresh flowers.

Boy...I have a lot to do.

So here are just a couple of my favorite images that are magazine perfect and are inspiring me to get my home in picture perfect shape.

Wine Rack

I am looking to create this amazing wine rack in my dining area.
Look at tall these I found on google.

LOVE this one.

So I am thinking of making one out of the piece of wood we found on the beach in Oregon.
Its up top...

What do you think??

Missoni STRIKE

Enough is Enough.
All of us "normal" people that were waiting to get our little piece of Missoni yesterday, should all go on STRIKE!!
Target is going to restock their shelves with all the amazing goodies we all missed out on, because the hords of crazy people that bought tons of it and turned around to sell it on eBay with a mark up of 200%.
Really, honestly...???
So I say...STRIKE on the people who are selling it on eBay. On really, shame in them for doing it. Its pretty ridiculous.

I will wait till Target puts more on their shelves.

Who is with me??

"Bulk" it up

We have an area on each side of our fireplace that demands attention.
We had purchased these custom signs, if you can recall, and placed them on each side of the fireplace.
They still looked very tiny compared to our massive fireplace. So we decided to "bulk" them up.
My husband took some old flooring he had left over from a job and made custom frames around them to give them more mass.
What do you think?
They really look custom now and demand attention! Also, do you notice what I did to the fireplace???
Looks ten times better!

Have a good day folks :)

My little Entrepreneur

My son started making wallets out of Duct Tape for fun, and made a really cool one for himself.
He started to sell them at school and now he has orders backed up!

I wanted to feature him today because I am really proud of his little business venture and they are really, really cool.

Here are a couple he has made

This has two pockets for cards and one clear ID pocket.

Buy one for a gift or just for yourself!

He can make any color or design you want, and can personalize it too.

Basic Wallets are $7- (All basic wallets have 2 card slots and big pocket for $$)
Wallets with clear ID pockets are $10- (Same as basic but has clear ID pocket added)
Checkbook holders $10
add custom design $3
add personalization $3

I will take orders for him and we will use my Paypal account to receive payments.
He usually can have it done the next day.

Uzbekistan

Do you know where Uzbekistan is? I do now.

So, when I got home and had a pile of mail, I saw this

The coolest package I have seen in a long time. Tied with string and stamped with wax!

I ordered some pillow covers about 6 wks ago off of eBay. You may remember my post about them here.
This is how they came to me! It took me back to the olden days (which I never really lived in  but can imagine from movies.)

So these are my new pillows from Uzbekistan.

They are hand made and I love, love, love them!
Oh...and did I mention $24.99 for both, and free shipping?
